Ormolu MP is high performance, automotive gear oil providing excellent anti-wear performance,
corrosion protection and thermal stability. The SAE 85W-140, viscosity grades is the most
prominent grade for use in hypoid gear axles and manual transmissions. These grades are
recommended for hypoid gear axles in cars and light duty trucks, and for heavy-duty truck
axles and transmissions. The product is formulated with premium quality thermally stable EP
additives to provide excellent protection for gear sets operating under severe operating
conditions.
Application:
Ormolu MP gear Oil is a multi-service, noncorrosive type hypoid gear outstanding lubricant
suitable for API service GL-5 applications. GL-5 is defined by the American Petroleum Institute
as designating those lubricants suitable for the lubrication of gears, particularly hypoid gears,
in passenger cars, trucks and other equipment operating under high speed, shock load;high
speed, low torque; and low speed, high torque conditions.Ormolu MP meets the
manufacturer’s recommendation for most manual transmissions,reducers, differentials, and
final drives used in passenger cars, trucks, construction equipment, farm tractors and industrial
equipment requiring API GL-5 performance level.
